Stick adjustment

With REACTA, you can do everything from checking stick operation to making fine numerical adjustments.

The adjustments are divided into the following functions:

  • Select to see details

  • basic

  • Advance

  • Re-Center

  • readjustment

  • curve

  • Dead Zone

⚠ Stick adjustment (important)

Since sticks are subject to individual differences, the numbers may not be the same for the left and right sticks.

*Even after calibration, there may be differences in the center position, how far the maximum input reaches, and how far it returns.
This is by design and is not necessarily a defect.

*It is recommended to adjust the values so that the actual operation feels natural rather than "aligning the left and right".

Introduction

Trigger adjustment allows you to change how the input responds to pressure.

You can adjust the timing of when to start shooting and the position where the maximum input occurs.

  • Select to see details

  • Trigger Mode

  • Static/Maximum Input

  • Hair Trigger Threshold

⚠ If you have implemented a click trigger/click bumper

Since this is a physically digital (ON/OFF) operation, the analog adjustments on this page are not necessary.

*If it is clickable, the input will not change depending on how much you press it.

Rear button assignment

You can assign any button input to the rear buttons.

By placing jumping, crouching, reloading, etc. on the back, you can operate them without taking your thumb off the stick.

■ Allocation method

From "External Input Mapping", select the button number you want to set.

Open the drop-down menu and select the input you want to assign.

If necessary, press the physical button to identify it.

Once the settings are complete, they will be saved.

To remove it, change the assignment back to "None."

⚠ For models without rear buttons

This function cannot be used on models without rear buttons.

Polling Rate

The polling rate indicates how often the controller sends input information to the PC.

The unit is Hz (Hertz).

■ The higher the number,

Less input lag

Smoother input

■ The lower the number, the better.

Light load on the PC

Operation is stable

■ Recommended settings (PC)

1000Hz to 8000Hz

8000Hz is available on high performance PCs.

⚠ Attention

Depending on the CPU performance and USB environment, operation may become unstable when set to a high value.
If operation is unstable, lower the value.

LED Settings

You can change the LED display on the controller.

■ Mode

OFF: Turns off the LED.

STATIC: Always on.

BREATHING: Flashes slowly.

■ Brightness (Intensity)

You can adjust the brightness of the LED.

The higher the value, the brighter it becomes.

■ Color

You can change the color that is displayed.

You can specify a color using the color picker or a color code (e.g., #00FFFF).

Important Information

The biggest feature of the REACTA board is that it supports a native 8K polling rate , so there is no need to use third-party overclocking software. The JDM-5X can be configured through the setup link provided in the FAQ and supports the following onboard settings:

- Remappable rear buttons

- Inner/outer dead zone adjustment

-Customize stick curve response

This product is a custom board and does not include the following features:

・Console connection function ・Bluetooth connection ・Macro function ・Key assignment function ・Vibration motor ・Touchpad function ・Battery

Do not overclock. REACTA already operates at an optimal 8K polling rate. Attempting to overclock may result in instability or slower response times. For best performance, connect directly to the USB port (USB-C to USB-A) on the back of your PC.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play it right out of the box?

Yes, it can be used immediately after unboxing. Our technicians set it up and calibrated it before shipment.

※The initial settings have been optimized, but you can also customize them to your preferences at https://setup.mariusheier.com.

Connection method and terminal specifications

Since the REACTA board is designed with input accuracy as its top priority, its operation may vary depending on the connection environment.

・ Depending on your PC's specifications or gaming environment, USB-C to USB-A may not function correctly.

・ If operation is unstable, please use USB-C to USB-C.

・ Do not use a USB hub or front USB ports; connect directly to the I/O ports on the back of your PC.

*Due to USB control specifications, recognition failures, unstable connections, or reduced polling rates may occur.
*This is not a product defect.

Do I need additional software to use it on a PC?

Not necessary. REACTA (JDM-5X) uses the same form factor as the PS4, but it is not a PS4 compatible board. It is designed exclusively for PC, so you can use it plug-and-play without additional software such as DS4-Windows.

Stick Settings

Inner Dead Zone: 1 - 2%
Outer Dead Zone: 3 - 5%

By increasing the outer dead zone, we keep the circularity error rate within a range similar to genuine products, reducing the risk of sluggish diagonal movement.
In detailed mode, fine-tune so that each basic direction (up, down, left, right) easily reaches its maximum value (exact values vary by controller).

Trigger Settings

Mode: Analog (For details, please refer to "Which mode should I set the trigger to?")
Rest Position: Individually adjusted for each controller

Press (Maximum Input Position): Individually adjusted for each controller

Hair Trigger Threshold: 100% (This slider does not work as expected, so we set it to 100% to effectively disable it.)

LED

Color: #FF5300 (MERKA.G Orange)

Back Buttons

Left: X

Right: O

Polling Rate

8000Hz

Which mode should I set the trigger to?

For all REACTA (JDM-5X) enabled controllers, set the triggers to Analog. This applies to both stock triggers and click triggers.

Do not select "Skip this step" during initial setup. If you accidentally skip it, you can correct it by re-running the setup. Please verify that it is set to Analog in the [Trigger Configuration] section of the settings menu.
If you select Digital, the controller will be instructed to look for triggers on the Eagle board, and will not function correctly.

*This information is subject to change with future board revisions or software updates. Last updated: March 13, 2026

Even if I change the hair trigger threshold, the response does not change.

With REACTA (JDM-5X), the hair trigger threshold slider does not work as expected.

Therefore, with MERKA.G, we set it to 100% to effectively disable it.

What should I do if the board does not operate at 8KHz?

Please check the following first:

Setup settings: Check if the polling rate slider has been reset and resave the calibration.
Cable specifications: USB-A to USB-C, USB 3.0 or higher is recommended.
USB port: Avoid USB hubs and front panels; connect directly to the motherboard.

If the above does not resolve the issue, please request support on Marius's Discord server at https://discord.com/invite/QcCkfbkp3S.
*To check the polling rate, please use the DEEPPOLL tool at https://tools.mariusheier.com.

Where can I check the polling rate?

Please use the DEEPPOLL tool at https://tools.mariusheier.com.
*This tool is for measuring polling rate only. It does not measure input latency itself.

If you have any questions, please check Marius's Discord server (https://discord.com/invite/QcCkfbkp3S).

Can HIDUSBF be used with a REACTA (JDM-5X) controller?

The software itself works flawlessly. However, applying overclocking through HIDUSBF to the REACTA (JDM-5X) board or connected USB ports may lead to reduced performance. Please only apply the 8KHz setting through Marius' setup page.
