What is a TMR Stick?

New ultra-drift-resistant thumbsticks use contactless TMR (Tunnel Magneto-Resistance) sensors, which provide faster, more stable inputs than traditional Hall-effect sensors for smoother, virtually lag-free operation.

Why TMR is Better?

What is tunnel magnetoresistance?

The TMR stick is a next-generation stick that uses the latest magnetic sensor technology. Like conventional Hall effect sticks, it uses a non-contact sensor, so it is characterized by its wear-free and high durability. However, the TMR stick not only achieves this, but also achieves even higher accuracy and response speed.

Features of TMR Stick

Difference from conventional Hall effect

TMR

Hall Effect

Drift Resistance

Even Higher (more stable magnetic field control)

High, but may change slightly with long-term use

Input Precision

More precise operation possible

Good, but susceptible to magnestick fields

Response

Smooth even with 0-20% input range

There may be some delays or instability.

The TMR stick has already received rave reviews in tests by third-party manufacturers, and we are confident that by incorporating this technology into our original controllers, we can provide a next-generation stick experience that is perfect for players who want more precise, responsive control.

How to get a TMR stick?

Services that will include the TMR stick as an option include repair services, magnetic stick retrofit services, and the option to select the TMR stick on each model of controller.

FAQ

What controllers can the TMR stick be installed on?

MERKA.G has a stick for Dualsense/Dualshock4. We cannot provide a controller for Dualshock4, but we will provide a magnetic stick aftermarket service.

Is it possible to customize the tension on a TMR stick?

The first batch will only be available in the 120gf version, but it will also be available for adjustments such as increasing or decreasing tension.

When will the TMR stick be available?

Before making an official announcement on social media, we will first inform you of the release date via email newsletter and official LINE, so please register. *We are aiming for a release around the end of February to early March.
